I have not researched this lately, but when I first put together my box (around January) the were no HPT372 drivers available other than the ones provided by HPT; there were working HPT370 drivers on the kernel tough, but that does not matter.
I just went to the HPT web page ( http://www.highpoint-tech.com/372drivers_down.htm ) and found they now have OS drivers for the 372, so I guess those must have already been incorporated to the kernel ... I also read in this page that the drivers need at least the v2.1 HPT BIOS. i am going to update my BIOS an try my ordeal again (I like fixing my computer while been on the edge off loosing all my data ;-) ). -- Eugenio Diaz, BSEE/BSCE Linux Engineer [EMAIL PROTECTED]
