I was EXTREMLY impresste by Mandrake 8.2 abilility to detect and
configure the Lucent Orinoco pcmcia cards but I'm stuck with with a
$subj card and I allways have to rebuild kernel to include the driver
for it.
Alvarion support Linux and provides an open-sourced driver here:
http://www.alvarion.com/RunTime/Materials/ZipFiles/brzcom-1.1BETA.tar.gz
that works very well and has a plesant licence ;).
So if you kernel masters can include that driver directly in 9.0 you will
make a VERY happy guy here ( also if you manage somehow to activate
during the install phase I'll completly overwhelmed :) and extend the
supported hardware range of my favorite distribution.
