I suspect that w2k messes up the fs? I think there's bad ms woodoo magic going 
on in the background corrupting to w2k unknown "bad" partitions. I think 
there is a fix for this, it involves a reghack to stop this, and as allways I 
cannot remember much more about it, it's pretty vague in my memory (I think 
it was that you had to mark the partitions as "raw" or something using 
regedit to stop this...). I could be totally wrong..., and maybe some hotfix 
in one of the numerous w2k service packs fixes this nasty behaviour? I seldom 
use w2k or any other ms shit anymore myself so it's hard to know and to keep 
up... Well..., that's my 2c and now..., I have to jump into my bed...
