She should try to "su -" instead of "su", otherwise ORBit and oaf will be
screwed.. Even better would be that she use gdm to open a new X connection
(check Configuration/Boot, new connection with GDM).. 

It is not an evolution problem, it is a problem with OAF/ORBit 1 when
mixing users..

There should always be 1 oaf process per user..
