Thanks for the tip - I will try it. This was a fresh Cooker install and it chose OSS aparently. All I know is that previous Mandrake releases (8.2) and previous cookers before 9.0 worked fine with sound on this chipset. Someone decided to use OSS for the default I guess . . .
