I tried that and it didn't work. .xsession-errors says
Window manager warning: Failed to load theme "Amadeus": Line 423 character
1: No frame style set for window type "border" in theme "Amadeus", add a
<window type="border" style_set="whatever"/> element
Looks like in incompatibility with the new version of metacity.
