Dear All,

A suggestion for a drake.....Procmail. I know there is a system wide thing
with the latest webmin but...

Given that Mandrake can be used as both client & server & with the new VNC
thing it can approximate to say citrix or similar the problem a friend of
mine has who is looking at Linux & IMAP as an exchange replacement is around
the mail filtering as most users like to have rules & with IMAP this is a
problem.

Possibly both as a web thing (such that any user with a browser could use
it) & as a proper drake.

It is a hole in the current set up as you are not about to teach a normal
user how to write procmail rules. It must be simple even if that means
losing some of the capabilities of procmail. Look at the MS Outlook &
Outlook express rules thing. i.e. set of tick boxes for the filter "if it
comes from this address", "if it contains this subject" etc.etc. & a set of
actions "move to this mailbox", "delete", "forward to this address" etc.
Possibly a simple "out of the office" thing?

You could also have an automated antispam downloadable systemwide rule set
which is run before the local user ones e.g looking for:

"Anti-SPAM Policy Disclaimer: Under Bill s.1618 Title III passed by the
105th U. S. Congress" etc.

This could be packaged as an rpm & available via urpmi.

Adam
