Current ppp package doesn't support pppoatm, which seems to be needed for ADSL
support. A patch exists (http://www.sfgoth.com/~mitch/linux/atm/pppoatm), but
only for previous version of ppp. This prevents out-of-the-box ADSL support,
which is quite sad :-(
Suse, however, seems to have a 2.4.1 package for ppp including needed plugin
(http://www.suse.com/en/products/suse_linux/i386/packages_personal/ppp.html),
but i'm unable to find src package to fetch the patch. Who said "open source"
here ?
Another solution would be to add another ppp package in contrib (ppp-atm,
oldppp), conflicting with standard ppp package, at version 2.4.0, thus
providing needed plugin.
Does anyone else have better idea ?
