No way! What do you mean? What if you have other controllers? I also have an HPT372 on my ABit KR7A-RAID mobo. In my case I have the native mobo controller (VIA 8233), the on-mobo HPT372, and a Promise UltraDMA66. The Promise is hd[a-d], the VIA is hd[e-h], and the HPT is hd[i-l]. I still do not understand what you mean by ignoring hd[e-h].
