In common with others on this list, I have been advocating that Mandrake maintains only one pool of all RPMs and files, rather like rpmfind does. The various trees then need only be simple lists of component names, symlinks. This simple and long-past-time solution would save tremendous storage space and bandwidth everywhere. There are some of us here who already do this manually in our local Mandrake mirrors, while patiently waiting for Mandrake to "see the light". -- Ron.
