NOT SURE IF THIS GOT POSTED LAST TIME ! I keep losing my DCHP assigned address from my Linksys Router!
My main machine keeps changing it IP address by itself (wasn't doing this before!) I have a Linksys DSL router and I use it as DHCP host. All of my systems get their IP address from the Linksys. Up until recently, I never had an issue - but lately (with latest Cooker) - when I leave the machine running for long periods (like I normally do) - several days - I notice that the IP address somehow changes by itself. It appears the DHCP lease expires and is dropped off the list of DHCP clients on the Linksys and the Mandrake system falls back to a different address . .. Strange. All I know is that previously the DHCP address given to the machine would stay constant for many days on end and not change automatically. I can't find anything in the logs either . . . Thx, R.Fox
