Because Stew builds it in his spare time, more as a means to see 
whether or not it will work, I think.  There are a whole slew of apps 
that are not building right now so using cooker on PPC is really for 
the bored and/or very experimental type folks.  =)  I really don't know 
how useable cooker PPC is.

I think Jeff is doing the same with the Alpha port as well...  more of 
a spare-time thing (could be that he's doing work to make sure the 
kernel will work on Alpha and so on)... I don't think there are 
actually any plans to make an Alpha version of Mandrake anytime in the 
near future.
