Most noteably, most of the KOffice items were missing but many other items too. The affected items seemed to be random. Opening MenuDrake revealed that the items were, in fact still there, (at least in MenuDrake). Saving, without making any changes, restored the missing items. This has happened after installing Star Office on 9.0 Beta3 and after installing Open Office on 9.0 Beta 4. Each time, it was repairable by opening MenuDrake and saving.
