I have been using OpenDX on Mandrake for some time now, and I would like
to report some issues regarding the OpenDX and OpenDX-devel packages, I
hope in time for the new Mandrake release.
Most important, there is a file missing from the devel package (I think
this is where it should be put):
/usr/lib/dx/lib/mdf2c.awk
This is used by /usr/lib/dx/bin/mdf2c when building OpenDX modules and
it should be included in the distribution.
Second, OpenDX is now at version 4.2.0, so the version contained in
Mandrake could be updated. The differences from 4.1.3 are not so great
in terms of files included etc, so creating the packages should not be
very difficult. The new version contains several welcome bug fixes and
new features.
I am sorry I can't contribute the new packages, but my rpm skills are
non-existent!
