Well, there is probably more than one particular type of error that could 
occur.  Thus, "no errors reported" would mean that none occurred.  If you are 
implying a particular error, then I suppose "no error reported" would make 
sense.  I just think it sounds a bit funny.  I'm not a grammar buff, though.
