I reproduced the behavior again last night.
I selected yesterday's updates with additional contrib and plf packages
for a total of 535MB.
After dl of myolayer-fonts-plf a pop-up opens for 'Signature
verification error".
Because no user response is given sometime between 2 to 5 hrs later a
2nd session was started.
This is indicated by a pop-up 'Some packages need to be removed'
kaffee.
Because this must be user OKed before any dls will begin I show only 1
grpmi pop-up.
On my screen now I have 1 rpmdrake main window, 1 grpmi progress pop-up,
1 Sign verification pop-up and 1 package removal pop-up.
Rpmdrake was terminal launched but it gives no output other than GTK
warning since drakconf/drakxtools were 2 of the selected updates.
I see nothing in sylsog which would account for or even denote this
behaviour nor in system-monitor.
I have not allowed to complete or stopped either stream.
If there is anything specific you wish for me to check or attach let me
know.
This is on my least used system so having it sit there as is puts no
cramp in my style.
To rule out other possibilities, the cat can not get in this room and I
exorcised all the gremlins last year. (-:
