When using Mandrake 9.0 RC1 and trying to copy multiple files to floppy, the computer
generates and I/O error and stops copying. This occurs in Kongueror, Nautilus and
using the cp command in a terminal or booting into text mode.

It never occurs when copying a single file, but always occurs when copying multiple
files. The exact number of files that triggers it varies, though, so I don't know if
it is the size of the files to copy or the number of files or some combination. It
also doesn't matter if the user is a normal user or root. The times I've had it
happen have all been copying 15 or more files with a total copy size of around 500K.

Once it occurs, you need to restart linux as any attempt to copy to the floppy after
the error results in an error and the floppy cannot be unmounted (device busy or in
use error (even for root)).

While many people no longer use floppies, since Mandrake is directed towards the
desktop market, I think this should be fixed before the final release ships.
