[Cooker] RC2: append="devfs=nomount" hangs during boot

append="devfs=nomount" in lilo.conf
stops the boot proces for ML9.0RC2.

Is this a bug, or are we not allowed
to use this option anymore?

It works with 
append="devfs=mount"
but it hangs on
append="failsafe devfs=nomount"
