The same happened to me with the last 700MB CD I made with MakeCD burning at 10x on blanked CDRW. The system usually boots the install if I put the CD in the burner, but rarely does it if I put the CD in the DVD/CD IDE reader. I haven't tried to make slightly smaller CDs or burning slower. I am starting to think that filling these discs as much as possible is quite dangerous. -- kk1
