I reported this before, and just noticed that it's still there... If your network card isn't detected by install and you run MCC Network/Connection, clicking on either "Configure Internet" or (in expert mode) "Configure LAN Access" produces a prompt which says that you don't yet have an XXX and to click "Configure". There is no "Configure" button other than those two. What it probably ought to be telling you to do is run the Wizard.
