If you select Bootloader Advanced options during install and select "Clean /tmp at boot", it will be deselected if you later enter the MCC Boot Configuration and look again. If you select it there, commit your change with OK, go to some other MCC section and come back to Boot Configuration, it is deselected again.
I'm not sure where to look to see if it's really turned on or not.
