I have boot set up to 800x600 and it looks good and pretty. My monitor detected correctly (30Khz-70Khz FH) and the same behaviour is observed when I select custom monitor and specify these parameters.
However, on shutdown/restart, frequency is way above 70Khz. How do I change that? It's critical as it can damage my monitor. I know, that I can change vga=normal in lilo.conf, but I don't want to.
