I used to be able to manually mount my ext2 formatted
USB flash drive, as late as with initscripts-6.91-9mdk
(apart from the known startup problem).
But now, with the latest -15mdk kernel and initscripts-6.91-10mdk
I get the following error when I try to mount it:

mount: No medium found

This is not the case. I had just mounted it before I
upgraded to the latest initscripts, and it worked
perfectly well.

ls -F /proc/scsi:

aic7xxx/ ppa/ scsi

On the PC that I am using now (ML 8.2 with kernel-2.4.19-13mdk)
I get:

ls -F /proc/scsi:

aic7xxx/ scsi usb-storage-0/

So, usb-storage-0/ is missing on the 9.0RC3 PC.

What could possibly have gone wrong?
The only difference seems to be initscripts.
