I have 2 system on which I normally use either urpmi or rpmdrake to
install new kernels.
Using urpmi --auto-select kernel-2.4.19.16
On one installing kernel-2.4.19.16 a 0 byte /etc/lilo.conf is created.
Since it is 0 bytes it is of-course blank making it difficult to boot
from. (-:
mkinitrd is created and previous lilo.conf is there as lilo.conf.old.
On the other system there was no problem and there was no problem on
either system this morning when kernel-2.4.19-15 was installed in the
same manner.
Both systems are current cooker.
