Mandrake patches the old libraries for old distros, rather than upgrading. This is a safe policy because it fixes the problem but is less likely to break something else. The openssl in the 8.2 updates is some weird number like `0.9.6c-8.2' and yes, it is Slapper-proof. Cheers; Leon
