Hi, I've never had this happen before. Just did an expert install of the "new" RC3 using the hd.img and packages in /home, and when I booted for the first time, I discovered that /home/damon had been wiped clean :-(
A possible cause: I did an install onto a machine that previously did its authentication via ypbind. For this install I chose local, since I wanted a local authentication for root. I was going to convert it to ypbind after install. A second possible cause: I rm -rf .gnome*, .kde*, and .nautilus* A third possible cause: I did not run the first time wizard. I didn't see anything unusual in the logs. I'll e-mail them to Pixel anyway. I'm especially puzzled since all the packages used to install were in /home/damon Damon
