Like many I haven't been able to get my printer to work with RC3. I searched the logs
and the printer system (CUPS) started without error. I then followed the messages at
boot (made me quite dizzy as I had to reboot 6 times to see them) and saw something
that looked like:
/etc/init.d/usb  bad expr line 1 command not run;
After that when boot was finished I logged on as root and from the consple typed the
command:
/etc/init.d/usb start;
the usb subsystem started and the printer worked great, but surely we should be
progressing and not have to start the functions manually after boot. can't the
developers get this resolved?

I am speedychet.
