Having previously reported a problem with the Compaq Evo N600c notebook
with an ATI Radeon Mobility M6 Y chipset and Mandrake 9.0 - I have
decided to do something about it . . .
I have confirmed that the same notebook under Redhat 8.0 works fine with
said chipset and 3D acceleration (doesn't hang the system when switching
between X console and normal text console)
I have attached copies of the XF86Config, fonts.conf and a readme file
regarding the new font changes in the new RedHat 8.0 - Maybe this could
help the Mandrake team find what the changes are that RedHat did to make
it work for us?
What other information can I provide?
