should'nt something be done to make urpmi use the same session for
downloading rpms instead of starting a new connection for every download?
My problem is that sometimes the ftp server get's filled and as urpmi
seems to start a new connection for every package to download it often
fail to download some of them.
And when you *finally* have gotten through to your favourite ftp server
it's _REALLY_ annoying when it disconnects and reconnects for
downloading the next rpm, and in the meantime someone took "your" place.

I don't know how this is handled during ftp install as I have'nt done a
fresh install since 7.2 and on the other ones I have been doing ftp
installs on, this have'nt been done at times when ftp's are
overloaded(they _REALLY_ have been loaded now that both mdk 9.0 and rh
8.0 has been release), but if it starts a new connection for every rpm
this would be kinda critical, would'nt it?
eg. it would not be fun to get messages like "blabla, could'nt install
glibc-blabla-mdk, should I continue?"

Well, that's my thoughts:)

and also, when ftp's are full, it would be nice to have urpmi retry, I
think I've noticed urpmi do this when using wget, but not with curl?
hmm, anyways, have'nt looked into the issue.
