Thank *you* for reading. I must admit that I took some pleasure writing it. I am still waiting for an answer from authors or aRts and Brahms... I would also appreciate if someone at MandrakeSoft could have a look at it: the bug in aRts is triggered by using Brahms, which being in Contrib, does not seem to deserve much attention. I am still waiting from an answer from authors or aRts and Brahms... But aRts is in the main distribution, spreaded in at least four packages: -- arts-1.0.3-7mdk -- libarts-1.0.3-7mdk -- libarts-devel-1.0.3-7mdk -- kdemultimedia-3.0.3-7mdk And when artsd fails, all KDE applications that use sound do not work anymore...
