Alas fileutis and probably other utilities as provided by mandrake (tar?) don't support acls right out of the box.
Unfortunately it's not easy to apply the same patch that redhat because fileutils is very sensitive to the autoconf/automake version (in fact mandrake's package avoids the problem by *not* running automake/autoconf and using the provided configure, which is useless after applying the acl patch).
