The *EXACTLY* same problem for me...
I wonder noone else noticed and reported it to day.
Happens with MDK9.0 (upgraded from 8.2) and current cooker (as of today).
Worked with GNOME 1/MDK 8.2
I suspect this is the new dm daemon problem...
