OK, seems to work at home with gtk+2.0 2.0.7-3mdk
However, i had run into this other missing dependency:
[root@baader rpms]# rpm -F * --nodeps
/usr/bin/pango-querymodules: error while loading shared libraries:

Seems pango needs an additional require for libXft2
