uhrm, maybe this have been fixed in cooker now, but it was'nt in 9.0

[root@fiber-gw2 hawkeye]# urpmi.removemedia -a
unable to take medium "Updates for Mandrake Linux 9.0 (ftp1u)" into account as
no list file [/var/lib/urpmi/list.Updates for Mandrake Linux 9.0 (ftp1u)]
exists

This is a problem of trying to use update while the mirror selected was not
available, it is more a warning.

nothing to remove (use urpmi.addmedia to add a media)

This one is not normal, you have already do urpmi.removemedia -a before.

Remove the /var/lib/urpmi/hdlist... file remaining to fix this.

Franois.

yupp, I figured it out, but it should maybe remove the file even if there is no list, or at least give some hint about what to do about it?
