FYI I had problems with my xfs home partition with the stock mandrake 9.0 kernel (as well as other problems).
Since I though it wasn't a cooker issue I sent a message to the expert list:

Now I'm running 2.4.18-8.1mdk, I plan to try a kernel from sgi.
