You may be right. I don't use any Gnome2 apps, and all my anti-aliasing for my Gnome1 apps is done using gdkxft, which uses xft1. So my Gnome app testing was not thorough enough. And now that I'm back on the older qt3, I can't test a Gnome2 app. Hopefully, someone else will. TTFN, Lonnie Borntreger
