Note that if you are using winbind for login/ssh/kde/gdm/imap/pop3 services, you
may want to enable:
"winbind use default domain = yes"
This will allow you to login as "User" instead of "MyDomain\User" or
"MyDomain+User". This is how the "Windows Domain" authentication option in
installation does it by default.
However, the problem does not disappear with this setting, since the default
user assigned is usually "Domain Users", containing a space.
I have checked most applications of winbind, and AFIAK this is the only problem.
It does cause problems with certain applications of winbind, such as cvs over
ssh using Tortoise CVS, where the ssh client will drop the connection due to the
error.
