The fonts in Mandrake for the most part look just
fine, and I mean without stupid MS fonts or AA.  In
fact, they're crisper than in Windows, and they're not
all huge and bubbly.  Doesn't sound geeky to me.

You seem to assume everyone prefers blurry fonts by
default.  It's supported, that's good enough.
