while we focus on it, Franois, is it possible to use the nice progression bar ( the growing arrow ) instead of the dots on urpmi. bar is the default now on wget as quoted on NEWS from /usr/share/wget... : "* Changes in Wget 1.8. ** A new progress indicator is now available and used by default. You can choose the progress bar type with `--progress=TYPE'. Two types are available, "bar" (the new default), and "dot" (the old dotted indicator). You can permanently revert to the old progress indicator by putting `progress = dot' in your `.wgetrc'. " But urpmi seems to force the progress=dot when dowloading new rpms. I checked I have no 'progress' configuration parameter in /etc/wgetrc nor in .wgetrc. -- Pascal __________________________________________________________________ 12:13:37 up 4 days, 49 min, 5 users, load average: 1.72, 1.30, 1.21 Linux version 2.4.20-0.5mdkenterprise ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2-4mdk)) #1 SMP Tue Nov 26 13:44:50 CET 2002 kdelibs-3.1-0.rc3.3mdk rpm-4.0.4-21mdk OpenOffice.org-1.0.1-9mdk koffice-1.2-11mdk
