[Cooker] Modutils rejecting ADSL Modem Module

Hi

I've been using Mandrake with my Conexant ADSL modem for a few monthes now with no probs, but now after upgrading to modutils-2.4.22-1mdk, the module is rejected, saying that the module is built with GCC 2 and the kernel with GCC3 and it is a bad idea to mix the two!!

The problem is, I know the module is compiled by GCC 3.2, because I did it myself!?!?

how can i fix this?
