Yes, I can reproduce it this way:
[goetz@klama goetz]$ echo fjsaljdflaasf | gringotts
(process:23680): gringotts-CRITICAL **: It isn't possible to redirect data to stdin,
as it is a potential security flaw.
Why does the kde menu system pipes data to the application? I have no
clue, anyone?
