Hi,

I just started #cooker on freenode again. What is so special about it?

It is a moderated channel, only people I know get voice. If people have
cooker installed and want to discuss anything they are welcome to chat
about that.

The #mdk-cooker also was meant for that but 90% of all discussion was
about people who have installed 9.0 installing and running into problems
and seeking support for that. And they never want to listen if people
say it is not supported and they should not be surprised. And I feel the
oncoming wave with glibc2.3.1 comming already.

I mean I even missed the good questions people asked just because I
didn't pay attention to the channel anymore.

People whom I don't know who want to get voice on the channel just ask
me via msg or an email and I'll give you voice. If you have cooker
installed I will get you on the autovoice list. If not on the
autobanlist ;)

I already have the names of quite a few well known mdk-cooker visitors
added to the list.

Make sure you are identified with nickserv and you will get voice on
entering the channel. I bet you can setup your irc-client to log you in
automatically.

For irssi for example:

/IRCNET ADD -autosendcmd "/^msg nickserv identify pass" freenode
