I just digged some deeper in the problem. And cron uses makewhatis -w so it should be a problem. The only thing it does is create a somewhat nice default so people wont have to read the manpage ;) But the weird thing is that man -k never worked. So I tried to run it manualy run into the error, made the changes in the patch, run it again and then man -k worked. And I am not the only one to notice. Also not descriptive. Indeed. I will dig some more, and let you know what happens. Forget about the makewhatis-patch, just apply the other fixes in the spec-patch ;) # Han -- http://www.xs4all.nl/~hanb/software
