Isn't this a bit brutal, considering that everything either depends in /lib or /usr/lib versions of this file ? Are you moving over to a different PThread standard / model / POSIX compliancy or what ? I have heard great stuff about changes made to the Linux threading model.

Pardon me if my understanding of libpthread is limited and this message is meaningless ! :-)

Thanks,
Owen

Why is it that this release requires the removal of 115+ pkgs whereas
prior releases of this version caused no removals?

The symbol libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.3.2) has been removed from 4mdk, so
all those packages have to be rebuild.

do we have to wait and update one after one or we have to remove all thi pkg, install new glibc and afer installa the rebuilded pkg
thanks
