First of all - Merry X-Mas to all. Secondly, Cooker now installs - but after a fresh install - several things broken. I'm assuming this has to do with several core stuff in flux - like glibc.
No KDE menus work (no items) and I tried menudrake without success. No items in kcontrol. I receive an error: [rfox@localhost rfox]$ rpmdrake examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.Installation CD (ftp1).cz] examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.Contrib CD (ftp2).cz] Couldn't open RPM DB at /usr/sbin/rpmdrake line 138. BUG in /usr/sbin/rpmdrake : my_gtk->exit was *NOT* called !! [rfox@localhost rfox]$ The changes in the DrakX install routine also are strange - no choice for experienced/beginner install anymore . . I'm assuming that Cooker is under major change and should be considered broken until otherwise noted. All the best for the New Year - hopefully Mandrake will get over the short term money crunch - because 9.1 is shaping up to be a winner . . Cheers, R.Fox
