expert install is deprecated ;pok, for now it's not really deprecated since many features are only available in expert install... but this will change! so either wait for the install to be more expertable without flag "expert", or agree to have the stage1 be non-automatic :-/
The main problem with actual non-expert install is the DESTRUCTIVE automatic lilo install. Guillaume Cottenceau wrote:
If you're networked, the easiest way is to boot with a networked grub
Keep in mind that many cooker contributor have just ONE good machine to work,
with one or more big drive and two or more simultaneous configs (Work and Cooker)
To improve cooker testing we need to have RECOMMENDED procedure of installation
to prevent classical "cooker forum question" => Are you running a fully up-to-date Cooker?
I think that ftp mirroring and hard drive install is the best and sweetest way to
ensure a "FULL UP-TO-DATE" installation.
During installation I write "cooker lilo conf" on floppy and after merge it with my "work lilo conf"
So HELP US TO HELP YOU to do the best distrib and publish not just a half line to mirror
by ftp but a detailed "Mandrake recommended procedure for cooker installation"
from "ftp stage" to "last reboot stage".
