[Cooker] tg3 driver / asus a7v8x mobo

I can't seem to be able to get this driver to work for the on-board NIC.

I've tried newer kernel source 2.4.20, etc.,

Thoughts ?  Hints ?  Anyone ?  Or is it just not quite ready yet ?
