So if it causes the newer (i.e. 7000, 7500, et al), but not the top (8500, 9000, 9700, et al) to "hang" why does it cause my "classic" (64MB DDR, ViVo) Radeon system to re-boot? I haven't been able to find any clues in the system logs, nor in the XFree86 logs as to why the system implodes, but if I try to start X with 3-D support engaged, it sure does a nice, ugly self-reboot. Puzzling. C.S.
