I don't understand this, but maybe I haven't done the same thing as you. I do a full install. At the new user, I enter name, username, password twice and click done. When it reboots, I have two users, root and todd. According to your description the user todd shouldn't be there. But it is, so you must be doing something different. Please elaborate.you're right, "Done" do add the user but, even if things do work, i agree this is not very nice.
In this case my only suggestion is to move the "accept" button either at the right of the text fields, or just below them. This would be a bit clearer.
