I do not have time until probably Sunday night (local time, Australia)
If you can wait that long, I will be happy to test.

I am having difficulties with another point with gcombust

Bootable CDs.

I create a rescue floppy in Win98SE.
I grab a copy of that floppy by 'dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/tmp/floppy.img'
I burn a CD with assorted directories on it (either using the data files themselves or creating an ISO image before burning), with joliet extension enabled and bootable, with the floppy.img file on the CD as the boot image.
The CD boots but when I finally get to the dos prompt (my latest effort generated all sorts of problems with the boot process of the floppy [missing files and the like] but I attribute that to something I did) - I am unable to traverse any directories in the CD, they show up in 'DIR' but when I try CD to them, they are invalid. All the directories show up as 8.3 format rather than longer names as well. Am I missing a mkisofs command option or something?

Once again, this used to work in 7.2 but stopped in 8 onwards.

Particularly annoying since it is my 'install' cd for my PC with all my drivers and software that I use to 'refresh' my pc occasionally.

What am I doing wrong?

Well, i ugraded current gcombust to 0.1.53.
Could you test and tell me if it fixes the digit crunch.

Thanx.
